The Black Diamond Outlaw AvaLung Pack knows no limits - it's the most versatile and safe of skiing and snowboarding backpacks thanks to its integrated AvaLung, rear access and ski and snowboard carry options. Unique back door zippered access lets you get your gear without removing your board or skis. Hypalon-reinforced snowboard wings ensure your deck will be strapped down tight. A-frame or diagonal ski carry with fast and secure attachments. AvaLung system allows an avalanche victim to breathe fresh air directly from the snowpack via a bi-valve intake box located in the shoulder strap. AvaLung mouthpiece and tubing stow away in shoulder strap when not in use. Exhaled carbon dioxide is directed away from your body through an exhaust port on the pack's side. An AvaLung extends your air supply from the typical 15 minutes after burial to 58 minutes, especially important since average rescue time with beacons is 20 minutes.
